o2 Exchange's referral system lets you invite friends and benefit from their trading activity. Share your code, help grow the network, and earn competition bonuses based on your referrals' trading volume.

How to Refer Someone ​

Step 1: Get Your Referral Code ​

Every address on o2 can create one unique referral code.

Your code:

  • Must be unique across all o2 users
  • Can be 3-20 uppercase letters and numbers
  • Cannot be changed once created
  • Works for both invitations and referral tracking

Once you have a code, share this link with people:

When someone clicks your link:

  • Your code auto-fills in their signup form
  • They get whitelisted to access the platform
  • After they trade, you earn competition bonuses

How to Use a Referral Code ​

Click the referral link they sent you. The code will automatically fill in when you connect your wallet.

  1. Go to trade.o2.app
  2. Connect your wallet
  3. Enter the referral code when prompted
  4. Complete your account setup

What You Earn as a Referrer ​

Competition Leaderboard Bonuses ​

When your referred users trade, you receive a 20% volume bonus in competitions.

How it works:

Your Effective Volume = Your Trading Volume + (20% of Referred Users' Volume)

Example:

You trade: $100,000
Your referrals trade: $500,000 combined

Your bonus: $500,000 × 20% = $100,000
Your effective volume: $100,000 + $100,000 = $200,000

Result: You rank as if you traded $200,000,
        improving your competition standing

Can I change my referral code? ​

No. Once created, your referral code is permanent. Choose a code you'll be happy with long-term.

Can I have multiple referral codes? ​

No. Each address can only create one referral code.

Can I use multiple referral codes? ​

No. You can only register with one referrer. Once set, your referrer cannot be changed.

Do referral bonuses apply to all competitions? ​

Referral bonuses apply to competitions using the Volume + P&L Multiplier rule type. Check each competition's rules to confirm.

Is there a limit to how many people I can refer? ​

No. Refer as many traders as you want. All their volume counts toward your bonus.

When do I start earning bonuses? ​

You earn bonuses immediately once your referred users start trading. Volume is tracked in real-time for leaderboard calculations.

What if my referred user deposits assets? ​

Deposits count toward their position tracking but don't generate referral bonuses. Only trading volume (buying and selling) counts.
